Part Two
We won an award for it and I honestly can't realize why now...
Touching on Warcraft Culture and playing the games ourselves to understand the source of why people play the game?
after the course at summer school however, I realize how blissfully unaware we were over the concepts of problematic use of video game consumption, but I believe 'addiction' is just a random scapegoat of a word to use in order to connect to the audience, which is why I understand why news crews use the word 'addiction' because its a word that is so ambiguous that people can draw their own conclusion with the term.
but because of this ambiguity people can easily assume the worse, what we tried with this documentary is that we tried to make it as non-bias as we could. We worked with what we knew, and we believe that what we reported on is true, however, still not fair. We tried telling the truth, but we didn't tell the WHOLE truth. We were every unaware of other concepts of 'addiction'
the thought of 'anti-social' behavior we mentioned in the video, we didn't consider the idea of guilds being social and interaction of other players.
That being said: World of Warcraft is Evil.
That being said: I would probably play Wold of Warcraft if it was Free-to-Play.
But I thought I'd like to share this video, since I can now apply what I've learnt in this course to what was shown in our documentary. Our Documentary was not 100% accurate, but I feel we did more than most news stations, since we actually played the game and absorbed ourselves into the culture. as opposed to a 3rd party reading.
I'd love to hear what people thought of the video after what we have learned in this course. It would intrigue me.
While I'm at it. I will shamelessly plug my Youtube channel, because I have no shame.
