Moderation is the Key

Before I took this paper, I knew that there was something about videogames that has always fascinated me. FTVMS328 has taught me why, and for that, I would like to thank you. I got out of my comfort zone and tried new things, played a bunch of weird games - that turned out to be awesome - and found out that most people I know own at least one very expensive console. I want one very badly. I recently found out though that in order to became a first class gamer, I need to save, and save, and save to purchase my XBOX – hopefully it will be transporting matter by the time that happens - and then save to buy the actual games, which can be expensive too.

My struggle to even touch games such as Skyrim got me thinking of how much effort people have to go through to play properly.  And that’s why it is totally understandable if one spends hours – maybe months, years – enjoying, having fun, and making their money worthwhile. Some people like to call it addiction, but honestly, too much of anything can be very harmful. Self-control, as pointed out by John Walker, is the key. The world today cries for discipline in every single way - traffic, nutrition, education, work, family, day to day life. Why would it have to be any different when it comes to playing games? Not only games, but everything in life should be played in moderation. Slowing down is a very hard thing to do nowadays, and I might just - by playing videogames.
